Rental Information


All equipment should be in working order, but if you detect a problem, please call immediately. We cannot guarantee that all appliances will be in working order all the time but we will do everything in our power to make repairs as soon as possible. The Sebring House is equipped with keyless entry and a code will be given before your arrival. 

  • Check-out time is around 11:00a.m. unless other arrangements have been approved.

  • Remove all trash and take it outside to the large trash cans. 

  • Please leave property in clean and satisfactory condition.

  • Lock all exterior windows and doors and shut blinds.

  • Further check-out procedures are posted at the house.


We now include cleaning after your stay as part of our rental! We still ask that you do the following to ensure the house is ready for the next guest. 


  • Clean all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils and return to proper place.

  • Empty all trash and place in trash cans outside. 

  • Refill the firewood rack during cold weather months.

  • Remove all debris and personal items, including food items from the kitchen.

  • Return any furniture that has been moved to its original location.

  • What to Bring: Personal items, shampoo, conditioner. 

  • Water & Heat: The water source for this house is spring fed into a 1000 gallon resevoir and is not treated. For drinking water we suggest you use botteld water. The heating source is fireplace, and individual room heaters. The house has no air conditioning, but ceiling fand and window fans are supplied. 

  • Gas Grill: Please shut off valve after each use.

  • Feeding and Fishing: Pellets for feeding fish are by the pond in a plastic container. Only feed a maximum of four cups per day! Please only catch fish for eating fresh in the mountains or catch-and-release, using wet hands and net to help their survival rate. Please do not bring back coolers with fish!

  • Fireplace and Firepit: Boxed kindling for starting fires is in the front shed and plenty of fire wood is stocked outside.

  • Local: Burnsville has three large grocery stores with shopping centers, downtown shops, and many restaurants.

  • Road Conditions: Beginning at the barn, Clearview Lane becomes steep to the Sebring House driveway. In wet, snowy or icy conditions travel on the roads may be difficult. Four wheel drive is suggested in these conditions. 

  • Cleaning: Before leaving please strip the sheets from the beds that have been used. Put them in the pillow case and place in the mudroom. Please pile bathroom and kitchen linens in the mudroom as well.
